Overview

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Internal Auditor to join our team. The position will contribute to the planning and execution of operational, financial and special review audits for all Titan America operations. In this developmental role, an individual will gain insight into our company’s processes, will develop relationships with key business managers, and will participate in the identification of both control and efficiency improvements in our financial and operational processes

Responsibilities

Internal Auditor Responsibilities Include:

  • Contribute to the execution of the annual audit plan for all Titan America operations. In particular, for individual audit engagements:
  • Conduct interviews of business managers to gain understanding of their business processes and to identify inherent risks and mitigating controls.
  • Contribute to the development of audit programs to test business process controls.
  • Obtain and analyze data to perform testing of internal controls and provide opinion on their effectiveness.
  • Ensure audit work papers adequately support the work done, results obtained, and conclusions reached.
  • Contribute to the development of agreed action plans with local management

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting, required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • One to two years minimum professional internal auditing, external auditing or accounting experience is required.
  • Advanced user of MS Excel
  • Auditing experience in SAP environment, a plus
  • Experience in data analysis using ACL, IDEA or similar software, a plus.
  • Professional certification (CIA, CISA, CPA, etc), a plus
  • Able to set priorities and perform a variety of work assignments that are complex and broad.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Willing to travel up to 25%.
