Responsibilities

Titan Virginia Ready Mix has an excellent opportunity for a Plant Inspector for Titan Virginia Ready Mix based in Richmond, VA.  This hourly position will report directly to the Maintenance Operations Manager.

 

The Plant Inspector works independently and is responsible for inspecting plants to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of mechanical and electrical equipment and civil structures reliability throughout organization, planning and guiding of all the inspection activities, to achieve optimum operational performance.   

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and approve the inspections master plan
  • Schedule and plan all the equipment inspection activities
  • Perform risk analysis study to identify plant critical equipment thus define the strategy to cope with the risk
  • Coordination with maintenance production departments
  • Approve and coordinate all the inspection plans
  • Preparation and submitting departmental activities reports
  • Effective communication and interaction with the service providers and suppliers
  • Implementation and integration of all the general and specific safety procedures and instructions within all the inspection activities
  • Implementation of all the general and specific environmental procedures and instructions
  • Participation in reported safety and environmental incidents, accidents or injuries investigation process
  • Approve the safety risk assessment for all the inspection activities
  • Implementation of company policies, standards, and procedures
  • Enabling continuous operation of the mechanical plant equipment
  • Participation in the RCA process for the major equipment failure
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Job position requirements:

  • High School diploma; college degree in a related field a plus
  • 3-4 years’ experience in maintenance or operations, including preventative, predictive, and proactive maintenance
  • Spanish and English language preferred
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite and spreadsheet management
  • Root cause analysis experience
  • Valid Driver’s license which meets company standards required
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Dedication to maintain the highest standard of safety in all aspects of the job

 

Working Environment

  • Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times
  • Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required
  • Working outdoors with exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold and other outdoor environmental conditions, constant standing and walking, climbing, working from heights and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and overtime
  • Ability to pass pre-employment processes including criminal background check, motor vehicle report, physical and drug screen
  • Travel between sites as needed
