Engage in the world of corporate finance while learning about concrete, cement, block and aggregates manufacturing from start to finish. Spend your internship within the finance and accounting departments in Titan America, ranging from forecasting, planning, variance analysis, capital expenditures and more. You will work on projects designed for students to apply relevant coursework (Junior and Senior Level Students).
· Assist in monthly financial reports
· Help develop and perform variance analysis
· Assist in profitability reports
· Help review and evaluate capital expenditure projects
· Help prepare financial presentations
· Assist in the ERP implementation (including conversion of reports)
· Help generate digital training material for new hires
· Gain an understanding of the continuous flow and batching processes
· Learn about raw material and product specifications
· Visit production plants to understand the vertically integrated supply chain
· Assist with sales forecasts and material sourcing
· Help analyze material costs and customer profitability
· Analyze logistic problems and their effect of the business
· Apply technical knowledge on projects related to integration and automation
This internship will be molded to fit the interests and talents of the individual candidate, with some time spent with each department.
· Student actively pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline (3.0 GPA or higher)
· Excellent communication skills with professional decorum, oral and written
· Strong attention to detail with analytical and judgment capabilities to anticipate issues
· Ability to work effectively and independently in a team environment
· Highly motivated to achieve goals and deliver results
· Ability to organize, plan, and execute tasks
